Bathroom Reveal

The day has arrived! I can finally show you my finished bathroom! I'm so excited!!! But before we get to the reveal I want to say thanks to you fabulous ladies, I have over 100 followers!!!! To celebrate I'll be doing my first giveaway. The prizes will be some of the items you will see in my new bathroom! Go here to enter!!

Ok, back to the bathroom. I should warn you, there are lots of pictures. :) You will have to excuse the quality of the pictures. We took out the window so we no longer have any natural light and the room is very small. So the colors are a little off. Sit back and enjoy.

Just to refresh your memory here are some before pictures.

And here's what the room looks like now.

Ahhh so much better!

New tile floor

New tub and surround and the shower curtain my mom and I made out of a drop cloth.

I love toile and have been wanting to use it in my house somewhere so I thought it would be the perfect addition to the shower curtain.

We also added some grosgrain ribbon

Remember this broken box I purchased at an estate sale for $1.50?

I painted it white, distressed it a little and hung it to display other fun finds

My husband and I made a towel holder out of a picket fence board and old doorknobs

Tiny bottles of French perfume

I painted and distressed a frame I already had and added the picture I found from The Graphics Fairy

I made this from a piece of pallet wood

This box was another estate sale find. I just noticed I was so excited to show you my bathroom I forgot to do some touch up painting and cover up all the screws. :)

It's like it was made for the shaving brushes!

We found these doorknobs at the church where we work. My husband soldered the knob to the plate so we could use them as hand towel holders.

So, what do you think?

Nursery

I haven't really shown too much of my house yet, so I thought while I'm getting the final touches finished on our bathroom, I would show the only 100% completed room in our house. That room is our son's nursery. I wanted his room to look peaceful and not too baby-ish. Something that would grow with him. We also added a lot of items that belonged to my husband and I when we were younger. It's a very sweet little room and we love how it turned out.

View from the door.

I think the framed initials are my favorite thing in the room.

This picture was a gift made by Grandma.
We still need to hang it on the wall to cover the electrical panel.

There are lots of little things on these shelves from my husband and I. The long framed pictures are of my husband's grandfather. The cradle planter was my husband's, the wooden rosary is mine from when I was baptized as a baby. And the shoes and sweater hanging from the glass knobs belonged to my husband.

We made these by using shelves we already had around the house and attached leftover beadboard to the back. Then we added the green and blue glass knobs.

We needed something narrow for this space. So I found a towel shelf at Target to use as a book shelf.

We found this dresser at an antique store for $30. It was in great condition. All we did was repaint it. I love the sides of the dresser. My mom made the cute runner.

I love how it is naturally getting distressed in areas from opening and closing the drawers.

My stepdad made this quilt rack. The top left blanket was my husband's and the bottom center was mine. All the stuffed animals except for the white bear were mine as well.

I got the curtains at an antique store for $2.00!

Some of these books belonged to my dad.
