Tractor Funnel Lights

Back in September I shared our living room redo and hinted that on the wall where the couch is, I was working on some details that I would reveal later.....well later is now my friends!!! And, this also reminds me I still need to share another post of our living room! We've since finished the baseboards and added more details! I promise it's coming soon....like next week!

Don't you just love when you come up with a plan/idea and it finally comes to fruition!?! In my case, I came up with a plan for lights in the living room about a year ago. I acquired what I needed for them and then stored everything away until it was time to start working on the living room. We had no real immediate plans to start doing so, but then something really exciting happened (I will spill soon, I swear) that gave us just the kick we needed to start moving on those said plans.

So, I dug those parts out of the closet and scrounged up random light parts around the house, and bought two fifteen foot cords from Home Depot and created, with the help of my husband, these beauties..............

Tractor Funnel Lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now let me just tell you, I discovered that turning approximately 27 feet of drop cloth cord covers right side out is not fun....AT ALL!!! Never again....n.e.v.e.r. a.g.a.i.n. My fingers were cramped for days!!! It's a good thing they look so pretty.

Oh how I love that patina!!

One more plan crossed off the list! That aforementioned closet is really starting to empty out!

Bedroom Reveal

A few weeks ago I shared the mantle headboard Nate built for our room! Over the weekend we sealed it with polycrylic and moved it into our room which led to lots of rearranging and new decor.

I don't have any true before pictures, but here's one that hints at the previous color scheme.

The pale blue wall color remained the same, and the green was replaced with lots of white!

That chair will eventually be reupholstered.

My grandma bought this hand mirror for my birthday years ago. She found it at a garage sale. Although my initials are no longer MA, I still love it!!

The windows were salvaged from our garage when we resided it several years ago. We had mirrors cut to fit and added a shelf to the bottom. They are perfect for my lavender bottle collection.

The bench at the end of the bed was built by my grandfather.

The quilted pillow is actually a ring bearer pillow!!!

We still need to put in new baseboards and trim and a real closet door, but for now I'm loving our new bedroom!

Stenciled and Dipped Leg Table

Hey there!! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Before I get into the table I worked on over the weekend, I'd like to say a quick thanks to everyone who linked up to our Fall Decor party! That was a first for me, co-hosting a party, and it was tons of fun! I'm still working through all of the links, so if you haven't seen a comment from me, I promise you will!

This weekend I worked on redoing a table I brought home from my booth because it's been sitting awhile. Here's the best before picture I could find. This was after it got sanded, but you can tell by the front leg, I originally painted it in a very distressed coat of milk paint. I think, perhaps, it was just a bit too distressed for most people's liking - including my own.

Because of it's glossy finish, I painted on two coats of primer and 3 coats of homemade chalk paint in Parchment White just to be safe.

Then using a very pale blue, I stenciled the top and dipped the legs. I really love the subtleness of the blue! The perfect pop of light color!

And now back to my booth it goes! :)
