Rustic Farm Table

Several weeks ago I got the most beautiful rustic farm table from my friend Brandy of The Rusted Coop! I've been kind of looking for a bigger table for awhile now, but not too seriously. But, when I saw this table I knew it had to be mine!! It fits right in and looks perfect in our kitchen!!!

It definitely looks well loved. I can only imagine the meals, memories and family gatherings this old table has seen!

I love the drawer!!

So much character!

And now I will bore you with several shots of cotton that I took while playing with my camera. I would love to try new things and practice with my camera using my son as the subject, but I usually only get shots like these:

And I don't generally have to bribe inanimate objects with chocolate. ;)

I hope you all have a wonderful CHRISTmas celebrating the birth of our Lord!!!

I Went a Little Deer Crazy

Last month when I carved my own stamps to make wrapping paper to sell in my booth, I stamped one of the rolls with a buck silhouette. It was the first roll of paper to sell, so I thought I would add some deer to a few other goodies to add to my space. This is what I worked on over the weekend:

I cut the deer out on card stock and used it as a stencil with black acrylic paint on a flour sack towel.

For the smaller buck and feather, I used my carved stamps with acrylic paint.

I have a large stash of foot stools waiting for makeovers. I thought these two would be perfect for deer silhouettes!

I really loved stamping the towels! I'm thinking a pine tree will be the next one I make!

There's still a few days left to link up to our Holiday Link Party!!!

Christmas Decor 2013

Over the last week I worked on putting up our Christmas tree and decor. I kept things simple this year since we'll be out of town for Christmas. That seems to be my running theme lately…simple. I am still loving the natural and neutral decor I have been using the last couple of years now!

I loved the look of the cotton on the tree in my booth so much that I added some to our home tree as well.

I bought the gold mirror over the summer at a garage sale. I intended to sell it in my booth, but it looks so good here on our cabinet, I may not be able to part with it!

I found these adorable wood trees in one of the booths at the antique mall where I have my booth. They were unfinished so I gave them a quick coat of stain.

Close-up of the cotton and birch bark stars I recently made!

Feather ornaments from Target! LOVE!!!

Glittered origami swan

I bought this birch ornament from my friend and fellow vendor, Janet from White Barn Vintage.

See, I warned you. Very simple, but simply perfect!

Before I go, I just wanted to mention I'm teaming up with Audra from Keepin Up With the Jahns, Jenna from Rain on a Tin Roof, and Kim from Exquisitely Unremarkable again! We will be co-hosting a Christmas Decor Link Party beginning Thursday, December 12! I hope you'll stop back and link up!
