Halloween Projects and a Birthday Party

The last week of September I spent my time making items and decorating my booth for Halloween, painting and hanging my kitchen cabinet doors, and throwing our son a small birthday party. Busy, busy, but I love it!!!

I took a few pictures of some of the new Halloween items I put in my booth. You'll have to excuse the quality. I was in a hurry and I was dealing with window glare and florescent lighting.

I made witch hats from paperback books! A new spin on the paperback book pumpkins!

Using ledger paper and plastic skeletons, this oval frame looks vintage with a touch of spooky.

I found these great graphics over at The Graphics Fairy and used this mod podge transfer technique to make a fun beadboard banner.

I LOVE the candy corn banner I made also using beadboard!!

Potion bottles on a cute wood shelf

More mod podged graphics added to white metal buckets

I filled quite a few apothecary jars with bones and other creepy crawlies

And my favorite, this little cutie!!! Jami from Freckled Laundry made these doily "ghostiaries" last year. I thought they were adorable(!!!) and had to make some too! I just realized I forgot to give this little guy a mouth!

Before I go I wanted to share a few pictures from Anderson's 3rd birthday party! It was Chuggington/Train themed.

 Hugs for grandpa!

 The adorable Chuggington cake!!

Getting ready to blow out his candle (again). We had to relight so I could get pictures. He was so excited and blew it out so fast the first time. :)

Cute porch decor to greet the guests!

  21. Which is why implementing some banners are fun for these kind of occasions. They are really affordable and they can last a long time. Also they look pretty great because they can fit well into any kind of gatherings because they are simply easy to design.
