Tractor Funnel Lights

Back in September I shared our living room redo and hinted that on the wall where the couch is, I was working on some details that I would reveal later.....well later is now my friends!!! And, this also reminds me I still need to share another post of our living room! We've since finished the baseboards and added more details! I promise it's coming soon....like next week!

Don't you just love when you come up with a plan/idea and it finally comes to fruition!?! In my case, I came up with a plan for lights in the living room about a year ago. I acquired what I needed for them and then stored everything away until it was time to start working on the living room. We had no real immediate plans to start doing so, but then something really exciting happened (I will spill soon, I swear) that gave us just the kick we needed to start moving on those said plans.

So, I dug those parts out of the closet and scrounged up random light parts around the house, and bought two fifteen foot cords from Home Depot and created, with the help of my husband, these beauties..............

Tractor Funnel Lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now let me just tell you, I discovered that turning approximately 27 feet of drop cloth cord covers right side out is not fun....AT ALL!!! Never again....n.e.v.e.r. a.g.a.i.n. My fingers were cramped for days!!! It's a good thing they look so pretty.

Oh how I love that patina!!

One more plan crossed off the list! That aforementioned closet is really starting to empty out!

  16. I love them... and I have the exact same one as your largest one hanging over my kitchen sink! Great minds think alike huh?! I also have a cord cover on mine but I found mine pre-made at a store called Tuesday Morning, have you heard of it? Mine is burlap with velcro closure and only cost about $10, so they would be worth trying to find if you ever do a project like that again!
