Christmas Home Decor

I usually wait until after Thanksgiving to start all of my Christmas decorating, but we went away for the holiday and I wanted to come home with it all finished and able to enjoy it. I got most of it done before we left and finished things up last weekend!

I kept things pretty simple this year and only decorated our living room and kitchen.

We need a new tree, but I'm waiting until the end of the season when they go on sale. In the meantime, we went with a very unconventional look and I really kind of like it!

My husband and I put together this little "forest" by using a back piece of a chair as the base and wood trees I found last year at an antique store.

I just found this well worn deer at a thrift store. It's missing an ear, has some cracks and lots of chipped paint, but I think he's so cute!

I painted this cupboard white to use on my fake mantle and filled it with all my new Christmas finds!

Moving onto the kitchen. I simplified my ironstone collection and had to include bottle brush trees. Who doesn't love those?!?

I love vintage ornaments and couldn't resist these bells made in West Germany when I spotted them at a thrift store.
