Silhouette Collection

One of the many things I collect is silhouettes. I love their classic look and simple elegance. It was inspired by my Aunt Deb who has a rather envious collection and she has them beautifully displayed. One day I'll need to share it with you (along with her Pyrex collection). It's quite impressive!

I've been collecting them for awhile and had them all together in a basket, but this past weekend I did a little rearranging and found a new home for them.

Sorry about all the window glare!

What do you think?

P.S. If you'd like to see sneak peeks throughout the week and other inspiration,

  2. very nice, i have one of myself and one of my sister. when we were about 4 & 5 a man came to the house and hand cut them. I am having a heck of a time finding an oval frame without going online (hate to pay shipping!)
I'm making a t-shirt, just decorating it a little at a time. I made a copy of mine and reduced the size and transferred the image to the sleeve of my t-shirt. I think it looks cool, unique.

  7. When I was a kid everyone had family silhouettes, except us. They were a popular thing but I'm pretty sure no one was making them on their own.

  11. I haven't seen so many silhouettes in a long time. The dark frames compliment the white shutters nicely.
