Last weekend I worked on putting together a little temporary craft room in our spare bedroom. We use the room for when out-of-town family members come to visit, so I made sure things could be easily removed to accommodate guests.
So here's what I was working with before. Clearly, we still have a lot to do with this room. Doors will be replaced, we'll be putting up new trim and baseboards, refinishing the floors or laying carpet, and possibly repainting.
Here is the room now. This room is very low on our makeover priority list, so I didn't do much to it. Just cleaned, organized, and added some decor and furniture from my stash in our garage. Surprisingly, these minimal changes give the room a whole new look! I'm going to really enjoy working on projects in here!
I hung an old crib mattress spring that I found in my mom's basement on the wall to use as my inspiration board.
It's nice having things organized and off the floor!
So, that's my new craft room! I even have plenty of space to paint in here once it gets too cold outside!
Great room. I really like how much space you have. Often craft rooms are so full there is no room to spread out. I need to work on cleaning up my work space. Have a great Sunday. Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteOh I LOVE it! You did a great job! Funny how just a little organizing, rearranging and accessorizing can make a HUGE difference in a room! :) Thanks for sharing!

ReplyDeleteNice transformation! I have wanted to hang my son's crib mattress spring for a long time (he's 7 now) but I'm afraid my husband will think I'm certifiable! I also kind of want to try and "rustify" it a bit, just not sure how. Yours looks great! Thanks for linking up over at Club G.W. {Goodwill} with Charm Bracelet Diva! Have a great week!
