I've been collecting them for awhile and had them all together in a basket, but this past weekend I did a little rearranging and found a new home for them.
Sorry about all the window glare!
What do you think?

ReplyDeleteGreetings from Holland, Nicole
very nice, i have one of myself and one of my sister. when we were about 4 & 5 a man came to the house and hand cut them. I am having a heck of a time finding an oval frame without going online (hate to pay shipping!)
ReplyDeleteI'm making a t-shirt, just decorating it a little at a time. I made a copy of mine and reduced the size and transferred the image to the sleeve of my t-shirt. I think it looks cool, unique.
Love them~do you get them at antiques shoppes? I had one made of my oldest when he was a baby <3
ReplyDeleteI have a fondness for those and they look so great on the shutters! What a clever way to display them.
ReplyDeleteThey look stunning paired with those lovely shutters. Very clever indeed!:)
ReplyDeleteI love how you displayed the silhouettes! You totally have me wanting to search for shutters now. I love silhouettes too and have a small collection grouped on my bedroom wall. http://numberfiftythree.blogspot.com/2012/10/milk-glass-and-silhouettes.html
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!

When I was a kid everyone had family silhouettes, except us. They were a popular thing but I'm pretty sure no one was making them on their own.

Love silhouettes and collect them also. You have quite a collection there and I love the way you've displayed them!

I love silhouettes too! Your looks so cute on the shutters.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen so many silhouettes in a long time. The dark frames compliment the white shutters nicely.

I too have become obsessed with silhouettes - there was a photo in last fall's Restoration Hardware catalog that was just amazing...really gave me the bug and like you I have them in a basket pending inspiration to hang...your display is creative and beautiful!

Clever to have the silhouettes displayed on the shutters. I have always thought the simplicity of silhouettes was lovely.
