Bedroom Reveal

A few weeks ago I shared the mantle headboard Nate built for our room! Over the weekend we sealed it with polycrylic and moved it into our room which led to lots of rearranging and new decor.

I don't have any true before pictures, but here's one that hints at the previous color scheme.

The pale blue wall color remained the same, and the green was replaced with lots of white!

That chair will eventually be reupholstered.

My grandma bought this hand mirror for my birthday years ago. She found it at a garage sale. Although my initials are no longer MA, I still love it!!

The windows were salvaged from our garage when we resided it several years ago. We had mirrors cut to fit and added a shelf to the bottom. They are perfect for my lavender bottle collection.

The bench at the end of the bed was built by my grandfather.

The quilted pillow is actually a ring bearer pillow!!!

We still need to put in new baseboards and trim and a real closet door, but for now I'm loving our new bedroom!

  5. Good Evening Melissa, I love the changes you have made to your bedroom. Blue and white is such a lovely combination and they are colours I love.
I also love the idea of using a mirror as a tray and the bowl which you have placed your jewellery in, is so lovely. I see a theme running through my sentences "love".
The mirrors are a fabulous idea. When my daughters come to visit they always have to stoop when using my mirrors, as I am only 5 foot 2 inches, whereas they are 5 foot 10 inches, so if I added a collection of mirrors as you have, there would be a right height for everyone!
You have created a beautiful bedroom.
    Best Wishes to you,
    Daphne

  10. Hi Melissa! I'm loving your vintage room, the most amazing part is your bench, the fact that it was made by your grandfather and is still in use. Wow! Other than that, the burlap and lace pillows are just a beauty! Great collection and superb job! xo

  18. I love the coziness of your room. We had a room like that in our KY house. When we bought the house I thought I couldn't get my furniture (king sized bed) in it but after little while I loved it, felt so cozy and comfy in it. Was pretty cozy with the bed and our bigger chifarobe but I still loved it. We've had a big room before that one and have a big room now in our small mfg. home in western CO. I love all your awesome things in your room, especially your mirror wall. Great way you displayed the mirrors. You have done such a great job making your room very homey, isn't that what we all want and need? Happy week

  19. Beautiful room! Love the headboard. Just finished a vintage room for my teen son. He wanted vintage industrial and we thought originally to use an old barn door, but in the end decided to make our own "barn wood look". I love how your whole room turned out!! Really well done!
