Our bedroom is pretty consistent with the look of the rest of our home, except it's the only room in the house not painted a neutral color! When I first started getting into decorating and when I was still discovering my true style, we painted it a pale blue.
When we started on redoing it again in the fall, I debated repainting the room white. My extreme dislike for painting walls won out, so the blue remains, but it all worked out perfectly! I'm happy with how the room came together.
I brought in lots of white, lots of mirrors and a little bit of wood tone to add the touch of rusticness that I love.
The result was a very calming and peaceful room.
My husband built our mantle headboard from a porch post, fence boards and barn wood. I've been dreaming about a mantle headboard for years and I absolutely love it!!
I thought I would also share my son Anderson's room because it's just so cute!
I had a blast putting his industrial room together! It took me a year to find all the elements, but it was a fun little treasure hunt! We redid it for him as a surprise while he was staying with my parents for the weekend. His reaction was priceless! He was thrilled with his new room!
This gallery wall of wood crate pieces is probably my favorite part of the room. The typography is so fun. Since this picture was taken I have found more pieces that need to be added to the wall.
Like the rest of my house, you can see evidence in our bedrooms of my love of collections. I just can't help it. I'm drawn to multiples and displaying them all together.
Thank you so much for joining me on our tour series. I have really enjoyed sharing our home and my style with you all! Be sure to head over to Roeshel's blog DIY Show Off to see her gorgeous bedroom! And don't forget to enter the giveaway using the Rafflecopter widget below!
