I have some really great opportunities coming up that I will be sharing more about soon, but for now I can tell you that I've been working hard the last week trying to get our living room and master bedroom redone.
Last week we worked on the living room repainting and stripping wallpaper. There are still a few things left to do like install baseboards and paint the ceiling.
Please forgive the photos, they were taken quickly. I will take better and more detailed shots next week when everything is complete in the room.
Here are some befores:
And the afters:
Like I said, we still need baseboards and I'm debating whether or not the rug will be staying. Also, there will be a bench in front of the window, but for now it has temporarily taken up residence on my friend's fall porch.
The shelf and the picture on the back wall are too high so they will be lowered soon. Something else is going there too which I will reveal next week! ;)
I still need to paint inside where the tv is and grain sacks were used to cover the not-so-pretty dvds and cable box.
I think it looks simple, fresh, bright and calming.
The paint color used is: Homestead Resort Parlor Taupe by Valspar - my new favorite!
I love all of your collections. I could never have to many scales. Love the flour sack curtains. Love your space!
ReplyDeleteGreat transformation! Love your scale collection!
ReplyDeleteLove the paint color, the accessories, all of it. You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteThis is Reminisce.
Deleteit looks great..
ReplyDeleteLove all the old scales! Great job! I am a new follower...would love if you could follow back http://churchstreetdesigns.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteIt looks very inviting. I have sneaked ahead on FB and saw the doors on the cabinet. I came back to see the burlap doors. I think I like the burlap. Love the way you styled the shelving unit.
ReplyDeleteLighter and brighter--looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThe lighter/brighter colors have greatly opened up the space visually, now it doesn't look so much like a man cave :) The drop top desk is so beautiful, and I love what you've done with the vintage mirrors on the wall above the cabinet. I have a question about how you've arranged your furniture. The sofa and the shelving unit that holds the t.v. look rather far apart in your photos and not conducive to television viewing. Have you considered moving the sofa to the wall opposite the large window and putting the shelving unit on the wall where the sofa is now?
ReplyDeleteLove love love you collections and how you've arranged your furniture. So light bright and lovely. I would really love for you to link up to my Inspire Me party that is ongoing. www.astrollthrulife.net Hugs, Marty
