Pallet Cabinet Take 2

Remember the pallet cabinet my hubby built me back in October?!?


Guess what? He made me another one to go in between our fridge and stove! Here's what the space looked like before. 


This time, he built me one with drawers! Here's his process. Let me know if you have any questions on how he made it.

Construction of the drawers. He added thin luan to the bottoms. (Sorry no picture of that)




I used a vinegar and steel wood mixture to stain the wood
 
Then I painted it white and sanded it with steel wool

    This is so gorgeous. I love both your pallet projects. The newest one, looks lovely between the stove and frig, giving you much needed drawers. One never has enough storage in a kitchen. Tell you hubs he did a great job. How do you stain with vinegar and steel wool? Hope you will consider sharing this over at Sunday's Best going on now. Also now following you.

    I looove it! Where does he get the pallets? I'd love for my husband to make something like that. I've heard some of them have chemicals so I kinda got discouraged from making pallet adirondack chairs...but do you know anything about that? My husband is just starting out in woodworking...don't know that he'd know how to do drawers and all...did he use a pattern?

    Great project! I have a shelf that runs all the way around my dining room that was built from pallets about 30 years ago. I hope more folks recognize this great source for "green" wood. Thanks for sharing and kudos to the husband on the great work!
