As you can kind of see, there's a lot of empty space on the wall above the cabinet. I needed something to fill the blank area but also provide a way to display some of my vintage finds.
A few weeks ago my mom gave me an old door that came out of one of their rental houses. I gave it a fresh coat of paint and Nate added three shelves to it using pallet boards. We put it directly behind the pallet cabinet.
We removed the glass insert in the center and I stapled one of my burlap coffee sacks to the back of the door.
Then it was time for the fun part - filling the shelves - with some of my favorite things.
Namely white ironstone, metal and wood!!
I forgot how much stuff I had stored away waiting for a place to be displayed!
Super cute idea for the door! This is a great display. Pinning! ~ Maureen

The door...the burlap...the display...stunning! Everything about this project is beautiful. I love the way you used the slanted boards to hold up the pallet shelves rather than just straight or flat brackets, it adds a little extra uniqueness to the shelves.
