I know, scary right? I didn't like the beads that hung down like the lamp on the right, so I always kept them tucked under.
I forgot to take a picture, but I liked the texture and color of the shade, so I just removed the beads. Then I spray painted the bases in Heirloom White.
After several coats of paint and some cute burlap rosettes, here's what they look like now:
So much better!!! I don't have a tutorial for the rosettes. But, I just looked around online at different tutorials and kind of played around until I was happy with how they looked. I cut different lengths of burlap to have different size rosettes. I cut them about an inch wide, folded them in half, then ironed them so they would stay folded. Then I twisted them, rolled them, and hot glued in places to help them keep their shape. I hot glued them to the lamp shade.
