I have a rule for myself for fall decorating because I don't like to rush the summer away. Fall is my favorite season so I really have to force myself to be patient and wait to break out my decorations. So, my rule is that when I see the leaves on our huge maple tree in our front yard starting to change colors, that's when I can start decorating. :) And look what I happened to see last weekend!
|
I made the bunting with twine, burlap, mums, and silk leaves. |
|
I covered one of my son's sand buckets with burlap and a grosgrain ribbon, and hot glued silk leaves to the sticks. |
|
I never realized I had so many pumpkins! |
|
Vintage decorations my mom gave me years ago. |

ReplyDeleteLove the bunting, what a great idea! I like all your pumpkins, your turkey - enamel pitcher (please mail to me when you're finished with it :) and the twig pumpkin - oh I don't know how to choose my fave, it's all great!
ReplyDeleteWow...this certainly does get me in the mood for fall!
ReplyDeleteI love all your decorations, but that bunting is great! Really inspired me! xo,
ReplyDeleteI had to look pretty hard for those leaves hidden among all that green but it was there! That rule would work for me, too, if I could ever expect any color here in FL. I'll just use the leaves on your tree instead because I usually use the "October 1" rule and I'm in a hurry this year. I'm going to dig out my fall decor right now! You have inspired me. All of your things look so pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Love the vintage ghost. Thanks for posting at the Rhinestone Beagle!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable!! I especially love the bunting with the fall leaves on it. It would be perfect for my mantel and with a name like The Gunny Sack it sounds like the perfect fit :) I would love for you to add this to my link party on Monday!
ReplyDeleteWow...I am pinning these and putting them on my FB page! Thanks for linking to Thrifty Thursday!

I love your blog first of all!!! I made the bucket with fall leaves today and I have to say it is so pretty. I used what I had to cut down on my cost...so I had used a dark brown printed fabric and a beautiful orange ribbon with leaves on it that I already had. I think it turned out great. Thanks for such a simple yet fabulous fall way to decorate.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this sharing this at last Monday's "What In The Gunny Sack?" link party! Welcome back to this week's party!
