How was your weekend? Mine was wonderful! I cleaned and organized a little and worked on a couple of little projects for Christmas that I will be sharing soon. And, my mom and I went to an estate sale on Saturday and we discovered a new antique store. Here's all my new finds!
I got these tart tins for less than $.10 each!! |
My grain scoop collection is growing! My mom bought me the big one on the right at the antique store as an early Christmas present. |
Two of my favorite things: Enamelware and galvanized metal! |
I looked at pictures online on Thursday before the estate sale and spotted the bowl on the right. I was crossing my fingers it would still be there since we always go on the last day. When we got to the sale, we headed straight to the basement. It was still sitting there waiting for me!! |
Here's another find from the antique store. It was a fun find for me because I live and work in the Flint area. | | |

I think my favorite thing pictured are those platters. So pretty! You had some great finds there! I haven't been to an estate sale yet, but I keep thinking I should go to one. Probably will now that it's getting colder & there wont be many garage sales to go to anymore.
ReplyDeleteJust saw that you're from Michigan! Me too :) I'm following you now as it's not often I find bloggers from our state! Been looking through your blog & it's lovely! Where was the antique store you went to?
ReplyDeleteYou found some wonderful treasures!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea - the tins with the candles in them! Every other year I've used tea light candles in votives, (except for the year I used tea lights directly on the window sill and discovered later a burn mark...that I could have burned the whole house down!) but this year I found a great deal on the flameless tea lights and will use those. I was going to put them in ordinary votives, but now I'm going to be looking for tart tins. In fact, I think I gave away about a dozen of those tins a few months ago. Grrrr. This always happens.
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' those rustic vintage finds that you found...love the use of the little tins too great idea! :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad I found your blog! I love vintage finds also, drives the husband absolutely crazy. Would love for you to come stop by my blog.
